MUV FOR PLANS

TRAINING, CONSULTING, SOFTWARE

MUV maps mobility demand, promotes sustainable mobility and uses the data collected to certify CO2 reduction and co-produce mobility plans. It does so through an app, MUV Game, which through game dynamics and interactions between users collects the necessary data to develop the service. This process in "normal" conditions takes between two and three months to develop the plan.

Given the health emergency and the need to urgently develop the Plans, MUV today offers a dedicated service for drafting, in less than 4 weeks, of HWTP, HSTP and AWP.

Leveraging all our experience (and our algorithms) we propose a consulting path for Corporate and School Mobility Managers through 3 main activities:

  1. mapping the demand.
  2. analyzing the results.
  3. summarizing everything in a plan.

At the same time there are some training sessions and, once the first Plan is delivered, the monitoring for the next 12 months possibly also through the MUV Game app.

CHANGES IN THE DEMAND (AND IN THE SUPPLY)

Mobility and Agile Work Plans - MUV

MUV is the result of 8 years of research in the field of urban mobility habits and their impact on transport, social and environmental systems.

During the lockdown, at a time when the habits of everyone in the world were suffering a terrible shock, we conducted a research on the propensity to change future work-related mobility behaviour.

Interviewing several thousand employees in Rome, Milan, Turin and Palermo, we discovered that due to the COVID-19 emergency in Italy:

  • At least 50% of respondents are willing to change their mobility habits.
  • At least 50% could continue to work from home (even in a non-exclusive way).
  • Only 20% are reluctant to take public transport.

But above all, regardless of the distance from work, the propensity to change is towards more sustainable means of transport (walking, cycling, sharing services, company shuttle, carpooling) than private cars.

Never before is the time to try to boost the demand for sustainable mobility and influence the supply of urban transport.

THE COVID-19 EMERGENCY

MOVE TOWARDS A MORE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE AND A SAFER PRESENT

Since before the coronavirus epidemic, the mobility planning of large communities of citizens (employees of companies and public institutions, students at schools and universities) was considered a key activity to reduce the impacts of vehicular traffic on the environment and society and improve overall quality of life and sustainability of our cities.

But it is with the current health emergency that the issue of the health and environmental consequences of "necessary" home-work and home-school travels become crucial. While on the one hand, in fact, especially on public transport the physical distance is difficult to respect, on the other hand is now established the correlation between air pollution and lethality rate of COVID-19 influenza.

Today more than ever, therefore, mapping and planning mobility is an act of fundamental responsibility not only for the complex fight against climate change and the near future of our society, but also for the daily present of our communities.

MOBILITY MANAGEMENT

LEGAL FRAMEWORKS

Mobility and Agile Work Plans - MUV

The attempt to better manage mobility demand by mapping it, analysing it and optimising it is well known from more than 20 years now.

All over Europe, from Spain to Italy, Germany to the Netherlands, national laws and local measures have been introduced to foster the adoption of Corporate Mobility Managers to make traffic flows more efficient, safe and decrease pollution.

In any given country, the tools recommended to be used are the Home-to-Work/study Travel Plans (HWTP - HSTP) and the Agile Working Plans (AWP).

F.A.Q

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much does MUV's consulting for the drafting of the Plans cost?

Since it is a dedicated consultancy, the cost depends exclusively on the number of locations with more than 100 users but does not vary according to the number of users.

  • The consultancy includes 3 training meetings (online), the production of the plan, the six-monthly update of the plan with additional 3 meetings (online) in the following 12 months. Also included is the possibility to use the MUV app for 12 months and monitor CO2 savings according to ISO 14064-2.

  • Although these activities are essential to respond to the pandemic and the pitfalls of climate change, at the moment the Italian State does not provide any incentive or support for the drafting of these Plans.

  • MUV is a social technology startup (and Pending B Corp) with the aim to turn safe and sustainable mobility into a Sport. It encourages responsible and healthy habits, measures progress by certifying CO2 reduction and, thanks to the data collected, lets companies and institutions co-create mobility plans.
