This challenge is an initiative of MUV B Corp in partnership with the University of Palermo, within the Climate Quilts project and SHARPER Night – European Researchers’ Night.
Challenge period: from 21/09/2026 to 30/09/2026.
The initiative is restricted to the territory of Sicily: only sustainable trips tracked within the region are counted. The challenge aims to promote more sustainable ways of moving around Sicilian cities.
The challenge is reserved for MUV Game users who:
🔹 are members and join the in-app community “CLIMATE QUILTS Palermo” inside the MUV Game app;
🔹 are located in Sicily and record their sustainable trips through the MUV Game app, using the supported modes.
To take part, simply join the “CLIMATE QUILTS Palermo” community from the app and start recording your sustainable trips in Sicily.
This is a Collaborative challenge, in which all players contribute to a collective score to reach three milestone thresholds.
✅ When each threshold is reached, all participants win a badge.
✅ The points collected by each participant add up to the overall total.
✅ The overall score determines whether the challenge goals are achieved.
Participants earn points by recording their sustainable trips through the MUV Game app, provided that:
🔹 The trip is tracked through the app.
🔹 The route is validated by the automatic algorithms of the MUV service.
Trips that do not meet these requirements will not be counted towards the score.
The mechanism for tracking and verifying sustainable trips works as follows:
Please note that, to enable tracking, you must turn on the device’s location services, used exclusively to validate sustainable trips and for statistical and research purposes.
For proper tracking, we recommend disabling features such as battery or power saving, which could interfere with route recording. MUV accepts no responsibility for the loss of GPS points or routes due to device anomalies, external interference such as internet disconnections or other third-party technical problems.
More details are available in the “Support” section of the app and in the Terms and Conditions of use.
As part of SHARPER Night – European Researchers’ Night, a dedicated place is active at the University Campus of Viale delle Scienze (University of Palermo).
⭐ Only for the day of 25 September 2026, validated sustainable trips reaching the “Campus Viale delle Scienze” place earn double points.
The bonus is valid exclusively on 25/09/2026 and for trips that meet the tracking and validation requirements described in point 5.
There are no individual prizes of any value, but rather badges linked to reaching three increasing point thresholds.
Based on the overall points earned during the challenge period, the planned virtual rewards will be obtained as follows.
First threshold – 750 total points
→ the first MUV badge will be assigned.
Second threshold – 1,500 total points
→ the second MUV badge will be assigned.
Third threshold – 3,000 total points
→ the third MUV badge will be assigned.
📢 This initiative has charitable and social purposes, therefore it does not fall under the prize competitions regulated by Italian Presidential Decree No. 430 of 26 October 2001 (art. 6, subsection e).
🔒 Personal data protection
