Highlights of matchday 37

Juventus-Milan is the big match of the penultimate matchday of Fanta MUV. Fourth defeat for the Rossoneri fans, who lose to the team with the most players and the highest score, second only to the Inter fans, who are just waiting for next week to make the title official. Bologna-Napoli is the second key match for the leaderboard: the Azzurri fans, known for their ruthless attack and great sustainable mobility skills, beat the Bologna players, who boast an impenetrable defence and exemplary sustainable travel choices. Well done to the Sampdoria fans, who beat Sassuolo and climb to 15th place in the leaderboard. The Empoli supporters surprise everyone and beat Verona, 13th in the leaderboard. We cannot say the same for their Fiorentina cousins, who lose to the Roma fans.

ilde (Juventus): almost 5000 sustainable km travelled, over 550 trips on foot and by public transport, 6 trophies; she competes both in her company’s tournament and in Fanta MUV.

luigidm (Napoli): undoubtedly one of the best players among the Napoli fans, with sustainable performances that contributed to the win against Monza, reaching the highest number of points in his team.

runner 091 (Milan): the player among the Rossoneri fans you wish had joined the team sooner.

emyi3 (Roma): a decisive element who led a match to remember, ending in an unexpected success against Bologna.

bobeli (Inter): the lukaku of Fanta MUV, an unstoppable sustainable mobility athlete who, thanks to compact teamwork, is leading his team to the title.

alice12 (Lazio): confirmed among the top 11 and decisive for her team’s fortunes.

andrea88 (Torino): excellent performances that give a little hope to a team that seems unwilling to climb back up.

joagogu (Inter): he doesn’t care about rain, snow or hail. On the contrary, he knows that in bad weather conditions the muvgame app rewards you with bonus points.

faustus (Inter): with over 44,000 sustainable km travelled, he is Fanta MUV’s no. 1 best player, a veteran MUV player and one of his teammates’ reasons for pride.

The latest matchdays

Let’s see how the last few weeks of the sustainable fans’ league, played on the MUV Game app, went. The protagonists of these weeks are the Azzurri fans: carried along by the enthusiasm of the 2023 Scudetto, they also get the better of their opponents on the Fanta MUV “pitch”. With their trips on foot, by public transport, by train, by bike and by scooter, they beat Salernitana, Udinese and Fiorentina and overtake Bologna, reclaiming fourth place. A major setback for Torino, who lose to Monza. Fiorentina and Lecce climb back up, catching up with Lazio and Salernitana respectively. Inter, Juve and Milan keep on winning. Worth mentioning is the commitment of the Juventus fans, who exceed 400,000 points accumulated over the last three matchdays.

Matchday 30 match highlights

The spotlight is on the Juventus and Napoli fans facing the main match of this latest matchday: Juve-Napoli. A week in which the Partenopei were routed by the second-placed team, 216,317 points to 48,886: commendable sustainable performances by the Juventus fantamuvers ilde, Maria20 and giuly. An easy week for the Milan teams, who play against Empoli, last in the leaderboard, and Lecce in 14th place. A different week for the Rome teams: Lazio lose to Torino and Roma bring home an excellent week against Atalanta. Udinese beat Cremonese and overtake Salernitana, who, with just over 500 points, are defeated by Sassuolo.

Matchday 29 highlights

11 April 2023

Main event Torino-Roma: the Giallorossi sustainable fans beat the Granata and overtake them in the leaderboard. After losing on the last matchday, Sampdoria beat Cremonese, closing in on them and overtaking Atalanta and Lecce, who were defeated by the Bologna and Napoli fans respectively. Spezia, crushed by Fiorentina, slump back to nineteenth place. Defeat for Monza too. With less than ten matchdays left until the end of the sustainable fans’ league, the success of the Juventus, Milan and Bologna fans continues: ever more conscious travel. And what can we say about an Inter that hasn’t lost a single match since the start of the league?

Matchday 28: big match Napoli-Milan, Bologna overtake Napoli.

Napoli-Milan is the big match of this round of Fanta MUV, ending in triumph for the sustainable Rossoneri. Commendable trips by the Bologna fans, who beat the Friulians and overtake the Napoli fans. The Juventus fans collect the most points of this matchday and beat a lacklustre Verona. The Nerazzurri continue their winning streak with their twenty-eighth match won. A big surprise from Spezia, who, after five matches without a win and despite sitting in eighteenth place, beat ninth-placed Salernitana, unsticking themselves from last place.

Matchday 27, the Derby d’Italia won by the Inter fans.

A dizzying Inter. The Nerazzurri win the Derby d’Italia against a top-marks Juventus. After their last match, won but in a decidedly more subdued fashion, the Inter fans confirmed their virtuous mobility habits, which bring them ever closer to their first Fanta MUV title. Lazio and Roma fans take to the pitch in the derby of the capital: the Biancocelesti captained by alice12 suffer a second blow from the Giallorossi of mlener. The Azzurri shine in Fanta MUV too, and in this return match the Granata come out defeated.

Torino’s defeat at the hands of the Salento fans, who until a few weeks ago were last in the leaderboard, opens the twenty-sixth matchday of Fanta MUV. Led by luckyluke, the Rossoneri reach almost 110,000 points thanks to their sustainable trips, a team record. A disappointing performance from an Inter that never puts a foot wrong but, for two matchdays now, hasn’t reached 60,000 points. The Juventus fans confirm themselves as the team with the most virtuous mobility habits. The Lazio fans fall short. A colourless matchday for Sassuolo and Cremonese. Defeat for Atalanta. Empoli lose to Udinese. Fourth defeat for Spezia, who drop to last place.

Matchday 25 of Fanta MUV

8 March 2023

Inter, Juventus and Milan continue to dominate the leaderboard. Udinese win against Atalanta with a lead of just 19 points. The Bianconeri fans overtake the Neroverdi in the leaderboard, who lose to Cremonese. The win over Sassuolo and the defeats of Fiorentina and Monza allow the sustainable Cremonese fans to gain two places in the leaderboard. The highlight of this matchday is Monza’s defeat against the bottom team of Fanta MUV, Empoli. A breath of fresh air for the Tuscans, who, captained by rainbowgirl, best player of this latest match, approach the next matchday with the determination of those who want to change course.

Matchday 24 of Fanta MUV

1 March 2023

Napoli beat Empoli, overtake Bologna and move into fourth place in the leaderboard, getting ever closer to the Milan fans. Juventus is the team with the most points collected since the start of the league, but with one match lost it sits in second place. The Nerazzurri fans clinch their 24th victory in a row, this time against Bologna, captained by best player faustus, the Inter bomber with the best mobility habits in the entire league. Defeat for the Granata in the return Turin derby: despite their determination, the team is decidedly below par and cannot break away from sixth place. Fourth consecutive win for a brilliant Roma in seventh place: an important performance by mlener who, with his trips on foot, totals over 16,000 points in this match. An increasingly desperate situation for Empoli, Sampdoria and Spezia.

Matchday 23 of Fanta MUV

The Derby dell’Arno is the highlight of this 23rd matchday of Fanta MUV: despite a hard-fought match, at the end of the week Fiorentina outdo the Azzurri. A similar situation for the Salernitana-Lazio match, which ends with a Lazio win, 17,928 points to the 17,716 of the seahorse supporters. Milan cannot budge from third place, despite the record points total of the Rossoneri fans. Facing them, an ever more sustainable Juventus led by best player Marilu12, and an Inter that brings home its twenty-third victory. Salernitana, Sassuolo and Udinese continue to limp along. Cremonese have not won since the eleventh matchday. The Salento fans beat the Bergamo side.

Matchday 22 of Fanta MUV

The fans with the most virtuous mobility habits? They are still FantaMUV’s Inter fans. The score of best player faustus alone exceeds Sampdoria’s total score. The Rossoneri managed to beat the Toro fans after losing the derby. Juventus crush Fiorentina, totalling over 112,000 points against the Viola’s 22,433. Cremonese fail to respond to the strategy of the Napoli fans: Cesa1, alessandro05, narda76 and gianfrancob6 seal the success with a mix of trips on foot and by public transport. The Giallorossi beat the Salento side, thanks above all to the trips of two fans, mauriziofigliomeni and mlener. The absolute dominator is ste.ram of Bologna: at this rate he will soon become one of the top players in our league. Decidedly more subdued matches between Udinese-Sassuolo, Lazio-Atalanta and Empoli-Spezia. We are sure they will be back “scoring” again.

Matchday 21 of Fanta MUV

A sensational result for Juventus who win against Salernitana, with 215,517 points. The morale of the Diavolo fans is low, to say the least, and perhaps it shows in Fanta MUV too. Milan are defeated by Inter, but hold on to third place. Bologna and Torino play very well against Fiorentina and Udinese. Good news for the Monza fans, who see a place among the top 10 teams of Fanta MUV getting ever closer. Atalanta, led by best player fabigno, struggle to a win against the Sassuolo fans. For the Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Spezia and Empoli fans there is work to be done. Lecce, despite their win against Cremonese, remain stuck in last place.

The Azzurri victory in the big match Napoli-Roma is sealed by players Cesa1 and narda76. The second half of the Fanta MUV season opens with Inter confirmed at the top of the leaderboard and a new record for Juventus. For the first time, a team has accumulated over 165,000 points in a single week. The Atalanta fans look ahead and approach the 20th matchday with the determination of those who want to change course, beating the Samp fans. Closing the round is the Udinese-Verona match which, together with Empoli-Torino, kept spectators on the edge of their seats all week. The Verona and Torino fans win.

Matchday 19 of Fanta MUV

Lazio-Milan, with a Rossoneri victory, closes the first half of the Fanta MUV season. Juventus thrash Atalanta, totalling a whopping 158,390 points in one week, a points record not only for the Juventus fans’ team but for the entire Fanta MUV league. An absolute record that sets an example for all the sustainable fans who, despite the winter temperatures, give up their cars for the good of the Planet. There are many sustainable alternatives. At the top of the podium of sustainable means of transport used by Fanta MUV athletes is the train, with over 66,000 sustainable km travelled since the start of the league. A tactic worthy of true champions since, with only 0.044 kg of CO2 per km travelled, the train is the most environmentally friendly means of transport. Bus, walking, metro and bicycle follow. More than 1,800 km were travelled by carpooling, and the electric car, the new entry of 2022, accumulated points for more than 600 km. Inter close a great first half of the season with 19 consecutive wins, but the team, captained by best player faustus, must be careful: a single defeat is enough for the sustainable Juventus fans to overtake them. The first-half record of Atalanta and Lecce cannot be positive, with three wins since the start of the league. An equally complicated start for Empoli and Spezia.

Matchday 18 of Fanta MUV

Napoli-Juventus, the most eagerly awaited and heartfelt match between two teams that show virtuous mobility habits. Last year’s Italian champions thrash the Partenopei; commendable sustainable trips by players such as Celeste99, giuly and nicho27. The Milan teams win: the Rossoneri fans bring home victory against their Salento opponents, and the Nerazzurri against the sustainable Verona fans. The Rossoblù and the Granata prevail against the Friulians and Spezia respectively. Empoli return to winning ways. After two defeats, they finally have something to smile about again in the match against Sampdoria, despite play being essentially balanced until mid-week. Sampdoria’s failure allows the virtuous Viola to climb the leaderboard despite their defeat against Roma. An important success for Monza’s leaderboard position and morale, showing a constant commitment to reaching the weekly sustainable goal. Yet another disappointing performance from Atalanta. There are many variables that can influence the outcome of the MUV sustainable mobility league: travel strategies and medium- or long-distance tactics, consistency, motivation, commitment and certainly the weather factor.

Matchdays 16 and 17 of Fanta MUV

The league has resumed after a break of almost two months for the World Cup. Climate change is putting on its most extreme show: people on the beach in southern Europe and dozens dead from the cold in the eastern United States. Heat waves and cold spells, waves of rainfall and periods of total drought: is this what we should expect? Our muvers are certainly not sitting idle with their bikes in hand. 2023 starts in the best possible way for the sustainable Inter fans who, despite the eagerly awaited match against Napoli, clinch 17 consecutive wins. Next comes Juventus, last year’s champions, launched in the race for the title. The first half of the season continues positively for Milan, confirmed in 3rd place, and for Bologna, who climb to 4th place in the leaderboard. A match of great intensity all week long between Torino and Verona. The Granata, however, are defeated in both rounds, dropping to 6th place. Good results for Salernitana. The sustainable trips of the Biancocelesti take them into the top half of the leaderboard, earning them 9th place. Sassuolo lose to Fiorentina and slip to 10th place. A restart to forget for Roma, Sampdoria, Monza, Empoli, Atalanta and the Salento fans.

Matchdays 14 and 15 of Fanta MUV

The midweek round for matchday 14 of Fanta MUV and matchday 15, played over the weekend, have just ended. We have thus reached the break for the World Cup in Qatar. The sustainable Inter fans are confirmed in first place, followed by last year’s Juventus champions. Milan have not lost for five weeks and hold on to third place. Napoli flatten Empoli and Udinese and fly into fourth place, overtaking the Granata fans, who were thrashed by a Roma continuing their positive run. Bologna win against Sassuolo in the Emilian derby. A comeback for Salernitana and Verona. Fanta MUV has got off to a start that has been a nightmare for Atalanta, Spezia and Lecce, who have won only three matches. Could the break help? Fanta MUV will resume in January. During this break we want to imagine more people-friendly cities where cyclists and pedestrians can move safely, actively contributing to reducing pollution and therefore to the well-being of the Planet and of individuals.

Matchday 13 of Fanta MUV

The eagerly awaited derby of the capital between Roma and Lazio ended with a Giallorossi win. Juventus lose, for the first time in 13 matchdays, the head-to-head against Inter and slip into second place, right behind the Nerazzurri fans, ready to chase the dream of winning the title in Fanta MUV. The Granata beat Bologna, reclaiming fourth place in the leaderboard. Spezia are completely crushed by the sustainable Milan supporters. Empoli-Sassuolo ended with an Empoli win, while Salernitana beat Cremonese. Atalanta-Napoli in Fanta MUV also ended with a win for the Napoli fans, who are confirmed in sixth place. Monza defeated by Verona. The Viola team win against Sampdoria. Despite their win against Udinese, Lecce remain stuck in last place with 161,630 points.

Matchday 12 of Fanta MUV

The Fanta MUV muvers try to take on their most fearsome opponent: the African anticyclone that dominated the Mediterranean throughout October. The twelfth matchday of Fanta MUV is now behind us, so let’s see how this round of the league went. A leap forward for Bologna, who come from behind to take fourth place, overtaking Torino, beaten by their sustainable Rossoneri opponents. Juventus, Inter and Milan hold on to the podium of Fanta MUV. The Giallorossi are victorious against Monza: the decidedly below-par Brianza side plummet from eleventh to thirteenth place. The most hard-fought match was Spezia – Fiorentina. An abrupt halt for Spezia, who led all week but suffered Fiorentina’s comeback at the weekend. In Fanta MUV too, the clash between Cremonese and Udinese offers few thrills and ends with an Udinese win. Atalanta return to winning ways after three matchdays of defeats and Lecce remain in last place, crushed by league leaders Juventus who, together with the sustainable Inter fans, clinch their twelfth consecutive win. Not bad for Napoli, who hold on to sixth place but are aiming for the podium. Among the best players are Inter’s faustus, Juventus’s nicho27 and giuly, Bologna’s editemi and Torino’s caballero.

In Fanta MUV we are already in a derby mood. Today Roma and Lazio are in tenth and eleventh place respectively.

Matchday 11: how do the sustainable fans move?

Matchday 11 of Fanta MUV has also come to an end. This week we analyse in detail the strategies our fantamuvers use to cover their sustainable kilometres.

Let’s start with the Juventus and Nerazzurri fans, first and second in the leaderboard respectively. For Empoli and Fiorentina, there is no tactic that works against two teams that have never lost. 9% of the Bianconeri’s trips are on foot, 37% by public transport and 54% by train. The Inter fans have a different strategy: 5% travel on foot, only 6% use public transport, plus 6% of trips by bike and a good 83% by train. It is clear that both Juve and Inter are going for a long-distance strategy. The train is also the choice that best protects the environment. With only 0.044 kg of CO2 per km travelled, the train takes the podium as the most sustainable means of transport.

In Fanta MUV too, the Rossoneri overwhelm Monza, who, despite a compact team of sustainable commuters, 93% of whom choose the train (and not the car, perhaps to reach the Lombard capital), cannot get the better of a Milan that is more consistent in its eco-friendly travel tactics. 3% travel on foot, 16% by bike, 33% use public transport, 47% the train and 1% the scooter.

Bologna, Roma, Lecce and Cremonese, on the other hand, are going for a short-trip strategy. Bologna and Roma accumulate most of their points by bike, 38% and 49% respectively. The Lecce and Cremonese fans travel 100% on foot. Walking or cycling reduces urban traffic and brings numerous benefits to our physical and mental health, as well as to the health of the Planet.

Salernitana and Lazio are the two teams that have increased their leaderboard score the most, climbing a full two places compared to last week.

The final whistle of the Sassuolo-Verona match closes the eleventh matchday of Fanta MUV.

Highlights of matchday 10 and the derby della Mole

Juventus are unstoppable. The fiercely determined sustainable Bianconeri fans take on their Torino opponents in the derby della Mole, valid for the tenth matchday of Fanta MUV 2022/23, and bring home their tenth consecutive win. Despite their efforts, the Granata surrender and are defeated. Enthusiasm and awareness are the main ingredients in the battle against climate change, and the Juventus fans are certainly not standing by and watching.

Inter, captained by Fanta MUV best player faustus, for their part, never stop winning.

An important triumph for the Rossoneri too, who win against Hellas Verona, overtaking Torino in third place in the Fanta MUV leaderboard. Lucastuder is Theo Hernandez’s alter ego. Consistent, attentive, devoted to the shirt and tenacious on the “pitch”, he is the teammate every fantamuver would want.

Bologna, led by bomber editemi, beat a Napoli side that was well coached and are confirmed in fifth place. The Spezia-Cremonese and Empoli-Monza matches kept everyone on the edge of their seats all week, with wins for the Ligurians and the Lombards respectively. Atalanta lose in the match against Sassuolo and Udinese are beaten by a Lazio on the rise, who seem to have finally got into gear with their eco-friendly trips. Roma’s Giallorossi beat a Sampdoria that fails to shine, with a leap that moves them up to eleventh place. The tenth matchday of Fanta MUV closes with Lecce’s first win, which wakes up the sustainable Salento fans a little: now they just want to climb out of the bottom-of-the-table quagmire.

Results and leaderboard of matchday 9

At the top of the Fanta MUV league leaderboard we find Juventus. Nicho27, xiaobu and giuly drag the team to victory throughout the week of the ninth matchday. In the big match Milan – Juve, the Bianconeri dominate the whole week: rising temperatures and particularly favourable late-summer weather allowed the fantamuvers to move freely by bike, by scooter or on foot, collecting plenty of points. They reach over 641,000 points, 3,000 points ahead of the Inter fans. In Fanta MUV Inter see no crisis. The Nerazzurri and the Juventus fans haven’t lost a single match in this whole start to the season.

Torino take a clear lead and move into third place in the leaderboard, overtaking Milan and Bologna. Among the Torino fans, caballero, an experienced muver, stands out.

Spezia narrowly get the better of their opponents Monza. The two teams resemble each other: compact, with quality sustainable players but no star performers.

The match between Fiorentina and Lazio closed the ninth matchday of Fanta MUV. The Viola bring home their second defeat in a row.

Scoring goals for the planet is the aim of Fanta MUV. No rest or break. The Torino-Juve derby has already begun.

The first eight matchdays of Fanta MUV

An interesting start to the league for Inter and Juventus, who haven’t put a foot wrong. The incredible performances of the Bianconeri and the Nerazzurri take the two teams to the top of the leaderboard of sustainable fans with a minimal gap: 453,892 points for Juventus and 453,039 points for Inter respectively. The sustainable Milan fans take third place. A nightmare debut for Atalanta, Spezia, Lazio and Lecce: lacking strategy and drive.

In the week of the Fanta MUV derby della Madonnina, Inter bring home the victory. The Rossoneri’s 20,130 points are crushed by the 50,813 points accumulated through the better mobility habits of the Nerazzurri captained by faustus, zizzola and joagogu, absolute protagonists not in the least frightened by the dry heat of those weeks. Inter won using a travel tactic with shorter trips on average than their rivals, but well balanced between trips on foot (59%) and by public transport (28%). Milan, meanwhile, tried to keep pace by relying a little more on trips by bike and scooter (12%), but in the end had to surrender.

We can draw some initial conclusions and analyse which sustainable fans are living up to expectations and driving their teams to victory. Inter’s faustus tops the Fanta MUV best players leaderboard, leading his Team to dominate every matchday. In second place is the devastating Rossoneri player lucastuder. Taking the third step of the podium is bomber editemi, master of the “pitch” for Thiago Motta’s team.

The first months of the league were not easy for the muvers. A summer that seemed never-ending, hit by a record heat wave until mid-September. The dramatic incremental impact of global warming is truly shocking. In the Fanta MUV league you have to believe in daily work: we are at the beginning and we look forward to players in top form.
