This challenge is organised by MUV B Corp as part of the IN-SORGENTI Festival, promoted by A Sud together with GREP – Political Ecology Research Group of the CSTE at the University of Palermo, Arci Porco Rosso and EPYC.
Challenge period: from 5 October 2026 to 11 October 2026. The festival days are 9, 10 and 11 October 2026, at EPYC (via Pignatelli Aragona 42, Palermo).
The initiative is open to participants located in Sicily and aims to promote more sustainable ways of travelling, in particular for trips to and from the festival.
The challenge is open to all MUV Game users located in Sicily who record their sustainable trips through the MUV Game app, using the supported modes.
This is a Collaborative challenge, in which all players contribute to a collective score to reach three milestone thresholds.
✅ When each threshold is reached, all participants win a badge.
✅ The points collected by each participant add up to the overall total.
✅ The overall score determines whether the challenge goals are achieved.
Participants earn points by recording their sustainable trips through the MUV Game app, provided that:
🔹 The trip is tracked through the app.
🔹 The route is validated by the automatic algorithms of the MUV service.
Trips that do not meet these requirements will not be counted towards the score.
The mechanism for tracking and verifying sustainable trips works as follows:
Please note that, to enable tracking, you must turn on the device’s location services, used exclusively to validate sustainable trips and for statistical and research purposes.
For proper tracking, we recommend disabling features such as battery or power saving, which could interfere with route recording. MUV accepts no responsibility for the loss of GPS points or routes due to device anomalies, external interference such as internet disconnections or other third-party technical problems.
On the festival days (9, 10 and 11 October 2026) a dedicated place is active at EPYC (via Pignatelli Aragona 42, Palermo), the venue of the IN-SORGENTI Festival.
⭐ Validated sustainable trips reaching the “EPYC” place on the festival days earn extra points, to reward those who reach the festival sustainably.
Any additional festival venues may be added as places and communicated to participants.

The challenge is collaborative: when each collective score threshold is reached, all participants win a badge.
First threshold – 500 total points
→ the first MUV badge will be assigned.
Second threshold – 1,500 total points
→ the second MUV badge will be assigned.
Third threshold – 5,000 total points
→ the third MUV badge will be assigned.
In addition to the virtual badges, 3 prizes are on offer, made available by the festival organisers: a selection of books among those presented during the IN-SORGENTI Festival.
The 3 prizes are assigned by prize draw among the best players, i.e. those with the highest score in the challenge’s overall ranking. The number of players eligible for the draw depends on the collective threshold reached at the end of the challenge:
🔹 First threshold reached → the 3 winners are drawn from the top 5 in the ranking.
🔹 Second threshold reached → the 3 winners are drawn from the top 10 in the ranking.
🔹 Third threshold reached → the 3 winners are drawn from the top 15 in the ranking.
The higher the ranking position, the greater the probability of being drawn: better-placed players receive a larger number of tickets for the draw. Each user can win only one prize.
Prize delivery is managed directly by the festival organisers (A Sud / EPYC). Winners will be contacted at the end of the challenge with collection instructions.
Physical prizes will be held at EPYC (via Pignatelli Aragona 42, Palermo) and may be collected, even after the festival, by a deadline communicated to the winners. MUV is not responsible for prize distribution.
📢 This initiative has educational, social and environmental purposes, therefore it does not fall under the prize competitions regulated by Italian Presidential Decree No. 430 of 26 October 2001 (art. 6, subsection e).
