This challenge is an initiative of MUV B Corp and the SAGEO 2026 organising committee, the international conference on Geographic Information Science of the GdR MAGIS (CNRS).
Challenge period: from 8:00 p.m. on 17 November 2026 to 10:30 a.m. on 20 November 2026 (Paris time).
Registration for the challenge opens on 10 November 2026. Only trips made during the challenge period are counted.
The challenge takes place in the Toulouse urban area and is visible in the MUV Game app only to users located within this area. It aims to promote more sustainable ways of travelling among conference participants.
The challenge is open to all MUV Game users who record their sustainable trips through the app, using the eligible modes. Any email address can be used to register: no institutional email is required.
To earn points, trips must start or end at the conference venue, INP-ENSAT (École Nationale Supérieure Agronomique de Toulouse), Av. de l’Agrobiopole, 31326 Auzeville-Tolosane, identified in the app and in the challenge as a Place.
When registering, participants may be asked a few short questions about their mobility habits, used for statistical purposes and to estimate the environmental impact of the challenge.
This is a Collaborative Challenge: all players contribute to a collective score to reach three thresholds.
✅ Each threshold reached unlocks badges and widens access to the prize draw.
✅ The points earned by each participant are added to the overall total.
✅ The collective score determines whether the challenge goals are achieved.
Participants earn points by recording their sustainable trips with the MUV Game app, provided that:
🔹 The trip is tracked through the app.
🔹 The starting point or destination is the Place.
🔹 The trip is made with one of the eligible modes (§4.4).
🔹 The route is validated by MUV’s automatic algorithms.
Trips that do not meet these requirements do not count towards the score.
Eligible modes: walking, cycling, e-bike or e-scooter, public transport, intercity bus, train/metro and carpooling.
Electric cars and any other motor vehicle used outside carpooling are excluded.
Tracking requires the device’s location services to be enabled; they are used exclusively to validate sustainable trips and for statistical and research purposes.
We recommend disabling battery or power saving modes, which may interfere with trip recording. MUV accepts no liability for lost GPS points or trips caused by device malfunctions, disconnections or other third-party technical issues.
More details are available in the app’s “Support” section and in the Terms and Conditions of use.
⚠️ Section being finalised (draft). Prizes are offered by the SAGEO 2026 organisers and are currently being defined. Their number and description will be added before publication.
Prizes are awarded by draw among the top players in the ranking. The number of participants admitted to the draw increases as three collective score thresholds are reached.
🎟️ Each player admitted to the draw receives a number of tickets proportional to their ranking position: the higher the ranking, the more tickets.
Winning tickets are drawn at random among those allocated to admitted players. The chance of winning depends on the number of admitted players and the number of tickets received: as thresholds are reached, more players join the draw, while the number of prizes stays the same.
[N] prizes are available, awarded to the [N] players drawn, in order of draw:
⛔ Each player can win only one prize.
First threshold – 250 collective points
→ draw among the top 5 players.
Second threshold – 1,000 collective points
→ draw among the top 10 players.
Third threshold – 5,000 collective points
→ draw among the top 15 players.
Winners will be announced at the SAGEO 2026 award ceremony, on 20 November 2026 from 12:30 to 12:45 p.m.
Prize management and delivery are handled by the SAGEO 2026 organisers, outside the MUV Game app. Winners will be contacted by email by the organisers, who will provide collection details. MUV is not responsible for prize distribution.
📢 This initiative has charitable and social purposes and participation is free of charge: it therefore does not fall within the prize promotions governed by Italian Presidential Decree no. 430 of 26 October 2001 (art. 6, para. 1, letter e).
