MUV Plastic Free – Rules

1. Organisers
This tournament is an initiative of MUV B Corp, Plastic Free and VOI.

2. Duration
From 23/04/2023 (start date) to 22/05/2023.

3. Geographical scope
Palermo.

4. How the initiative works
MUV assigns each player a certain number of points based on the sustainable trips made. To be considered valid, these trips must be tracked using the dedicated app feature and then verified by the service’s automatic algorithms.

Sustainable routes are tracked and verified as follows:
● To record a sustainable trip, simply tap the “PLAY” button and select the sustainable travel mode of your choice from those available. The modes supported by MUV are: on foot, by bicycle, by e-bike/e-scooter, by electric motorbike/car, by public transport, by car pooling (for challenges involving specific mobility systems, update the list).
● Once tracking has started, information on the user’s location and activity will be collected, which is essential for validating the route.
● During the route, you can change the travel mode by tapping the “PAUSE” button and selecting the icon for a different means of transport.
● At the end of the trip, simply select “STOP” to stop tracking and start the automatic procedures for validating the trip and awarding the corresponding points.
● Once the trip is over, you can view the details of your trip and the points earned on the dedicated details screen. If the trip has not been validated by mistake, you can request a further check via the “Give us feedback” option on the trip details screen or in the app’s side menu.

Please remember that, to allow tracking, the location services on your device must be enabled, and that this feature is used exclusively for the purposes of the game, to validate the player’s sustainable trip, and for any statistical and research purposes.

The points earned by the player with each certified sustainable route are proportional to the distance travelled and the mobility system used. In addition, there are bonuses that proportionally increase the number of points earned depending on: weather conditions, altitude (only for routes on foot or by bicycle), peak traffic hours, home-to-work or home-to-school trip, frequency of app use, presence of MUV places.

The player can check their status in the game by accessing the Challenges section.
It is possible to request to be unsubscribed from the challenge via the “Give us feedback” button in the side menu.

5. Nature
As it has an eminently charitable purpose, this initiative does not fall within the scope of Presidential Decree no. 430 of 26 October 2001, pursuant to Article 6, paragraph e.

6. Prizes
There are badges linked to reaching three increasing points thresholds and individual prizes reserved for the best players. Depending on the points earned by the whole community during the challenge, the following virtual prizes will be awarded as follows:
● first threshold – 40,000 points: the first MUV badge will be awarded, plus 10 Daily Passes to the top 10 players.
● second threshold – 100,000 points: the second MUV badge will be awarded, plus 20 Daily Passes to the top 20 players.
● third threshold – 1,000,000 points: the third MUV badge will be awarded, plus 40 Daily Passes to the top 40 players.

7. Prize delivery terms
The vouchers are delivered at the end of the challenge in the “Prizes” section of the app. The code is valid until its expiry date.

8. Use of Data and Privacy
In order for the game to take place, it is necessary to collect and process information relating to the route of the trips made via the app and to the game results. The player’s personal data will be processed in full compliance with current privacy legislation, as specified in the document https://www.muvgame.com/privacy-policy.
