This tournament (“Tournoi”) is organised within a partnership between MUV B Corp and Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole.
Tournament period: from 5 October 2026 to 13 November 2026 (6 weeks).
The tournament is reserved exclusively for employees of Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole who are part of the workforce for the entire duration of the operation.
At registration, in order to prove their affiliation with Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole, the user must enter the challenge password communicated internally.
Also at registration, the user must additionally provide their home address and the address of their workplace, to be chosen from the drop-down menu (with the option to note up to 3 workplaces), so that MUV can recognise and certify home-work trips as such for the purposes of the tournament (see art. 7).
The tournament provides for 10 teams. At registration, each user freely chooses the team they wish to join, according to their preferences, without any constraint linked to their department or service.
Each team can accommodate a maximum of 10 participants; once this limit is reached, the team no longer accepts new registrations.
Should all 10 teams become full, a new registration window would be opened: the maximum capacity of the 10 teams would then be raised to 15 participants each, to allow additional users to register.
Once formed, team members can no longer change for the entire duration of the tournament.
The tournament takes place in two phases:
The 10 teams are divided by draw into 2 groups of 5 teams. Within each group, each team faces the others in weekly matches, for a total of 4 matches per team. At the end of the group phase, the 2 teams with the best score in each group qualify for the final phase.
The 4 qualified teams compete in the semi-final and final to determine the winning team of the tournament.
All matches take place over one week: they start on Monday at 2 a.m. and end on Sunday at 8 p.m.
MUV assigns each player a score according to its standard algorithm, based on the distance travelled and the mode of transport used, with the usual bonuses (weather conditions, altitude for walking or cycling trips, peak hours, frequency of app usage).
The weekly result of each team is determined by the sum of the scores of the team's best players for that week, added to the average of the scores of all the other players.
The number of best players taken into account is initially set at 5. This number may be modified depending on the number of users participating in the tournament; any possible change will be communicated to the teams before the start of the tournament. Once the tournament has started, the number of best players can no longer be modified.
During the group phase and the final phase, the team with the highest weekly score wins the match.
The tournament is open to the sustainable mobility modes supported by the MUV Game app: on foot, by bicycle, by e-scooter/e-bike, by Sankéo bus, by liO coach, by train, by car pooling.
The trips valid for the purposes of the tournament are exclusively home-work trips (1 round trip per day), recognised on the basis of the home and workplace addresses provided by the user at registration (see art. 3).
The mechanism for tracking and validating sustainable trips works as follows:
Please note that, to enable tracking, you must turn on the device's location services, used exclusively to validate sustainable trips and for statistical and research purposes. For proper tracking, we recommend disabling features such as battery/power saving. MUV is not responsible for the loss of GPS points or trips due to device malfunctions, disconnections or other third-party technical problems.
More details are available in the “Support” section of the app and in the Terms and Conditions of use.
The rewards are made available by Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole. Only the employees of the Metropolis whose registration complies with article 3 can receive rewards.
The team that wins the tournament final is invited to a team-building day organised as follows: a friendly welcome for the winners over breakfast, an anti-waste cooking workshop and tasting, and a cultural bike ride in Perpignan and its immediate surroundings.
An initiative with educational, social and internal-cohesion purposes; it does not fall within the scope of prize competitions subject to the applicable regulations.
For the running of the tournament, data relating to the trips recorded via the app and to game results is collected and processed, as well as the institutional email address and the home and workplace addresses provided at registration. All personal data is handled in accordance with current regulations. More information in the MUV Privacy Policy (muvgame.com/privacy-policy).
Employees of INAIL, LIST, ISPRA, Fondazione Unipolis, Fondazione CRT and many others have already turned colleagues into sustainable mobility athletes and actively contributed to reducing emissions.
Whether it is a sustainability project for employees or sponsorship for our champions, companies and organizations play as well the game of change.
