4.2 U-MOB Tournament

With the selected community you take part in the Tournament, which consists of three different phases:
1. Leaderboard → 2 weeks

The communities are placed in a single leaderboard based on weekly points.

2. Groups → 3 weeks

The top 4 communities in the previous phase (leaderboard) will be the seeds of 4 different groups; all the other communities will fill the 4 groups following the same rule. The communities will play head-to-head matches within their group, for a total of 3 matches each lasting one week. A group leaderboard ranks the communities by the highest number of wins and, in the event of a tie, by the most total points collected during the league.

3. Playoffs → 3 weeks

The 8 communities in the top two places of each group will qualify for the last phase, the playoffs. The communities will face each other in knockout head-to-head matches: quarter-finals, semi-finals and finally the grand final. Whoever wins the final wins the U-MOB Tournament.

4.3 How to score points for the community
The “Play” feature relevant to the game is the tracking of a journey in progress. The journey tracking feature is used exclusively for the purposes of the game, to validate the travel choice made by the player, and for any statistical and research purposes. In this sense, it is essential that the player, in order to proceed in the game, has activated the geolocation function on their mobile device.

Trips on foot, by bike, by bus or by train are tracked as follows:

  1. click “PLAY” in the app and select the travel mode you want to track: “on foot”, “bike/scooter”, “public transport”, “carpooling”. The app will start tracking the route, saving some information useful for validating the route;
  2. During the trip, you can change the tracking mode by selecting the icon of a different means of transport;
  3. At the end of the trip, select “STOP”; you will be able to view the trip details and check how many points have been awarded.

The player earns points with every route completed.

Points are earned as follows:

The Player can check their status in the game by accessing the Tournament section.

The points collected by players playing for the same community make up the community’s score as follows:

+5% → 20 players

+10% → 40 players

+15% → 80 players

+20% → 150 players

+25% → 300 players

+30% → 600 players

+35% → 1200 players

+40% → 2400 players

+45% → 4800 players

+50% → 9600 players

At the end of the match, the team with the most points will have won the match.

4.4 The Best Players

At the end of each match, the best 5 players of each community will receive the title of Best Player.

The prizes at the end of the league will be awarded to the best 3 Best Players of the winning team.

4.5 Unsubscribing from the League

You can ask to be unsubscribed from the League at any time via the “Give us feedback” button in the side menu. Once unsubscribed, you will no longer be able to take part in the initiative or be entitled to prizes.

5. Nature.

As it has an eminently charitable purpose, this initiative does not fall within the scope of Presidential Decree no. 430 of 26 October 2001, pursuant to Article 6, paragraph e.

6. Individual prizes up for grabs for the Best Players.

At the end of the Tournament, 3 prizes will be awarded to the 3 best Best Players of the winning community, for a total value of € 1,500.00 (shipping included): the more times a player has been awarded Best Player, the more chances they have of winning.

7. Prize delivery terms.

The prizes for the best players of the tournament will be awarded during the final U-MOB event in November. The vouchers will be immediately available in the “Prizes” section of the app and can be redeemed within one month.

Vouchers not redeemed by the deadline will be cancelled.

8. Use of Data and Privacy.

To allow the game to take place, it is necessary to collect and process information relating to the tracks of the trips made via the app and to the game results. The player’s personal data will be processed in full compliance with current privacy legislation, as specified in MUV’s privacy policy document.
