Since 20 September 16 Universities across Europe have been playing in the U-MOB – MUV Tournament – the Sustainable Mobility Tournament between the Universities of Europe, organised by UMOB Life and MUV. After the first week of point ranking, three weeks of head-to-head matches followed to reach the last phase of the game, the playoffs.
As of Monday 25 October, eight universities, the top two ranked communities in each of the four groups, are taking part in the playoffs, head-to-head knockout matches.
There are four rounds in total, with each round halving the number of participating teams: quarter-finals, semifinals and finally the grand final, which will be played from 8 November.
The four matches that will be played this week are:
The Italian University of Turin remains the community with the most registered sustainable kilometres. With 508.000 points and more than 1.000 registered users sets an all-time record among all communities playing MUV! Excellent performance of MUVers of University of Parma and Universidad de Alicante that remain in the top positions, with 3 games won out of 3. Also advancing to the playoffs are the Spanish Universitat Politècnica de València, Universitat de Barcelona, Universidad Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the Italian Link Campus University and the Polish Poznan University of Technology.
These Universities drop out of the Tournament.
As we always say, victory belongs to all those who play to improve sustainable (and safe) urban mobility and contribute to the fight against climate change!
Employees of INAIL, LIST, ISPRA, Fondazione Unipolis, Fondazione CRT and many others have already turned colleagues into sustainable mobility athletes and actively contributed to reducing emissions.
Whether it is a sustainability project for employees or sponsorship for our champions, companies and organizations play as well the game of change.
