MUV at the DigiCirc Circular Cities Accelerator Programme

MUV is happy to share with you its participation in the DigiCirc accelerator programme.

2020 has put us all on the edge. Mobility was one of the sectors most affected due to travel restrictions to stem the spread of the epidemic. 2021 did not get off to the best possible start. But our desire to grow has never stopped.

After the selection in the EIT Urban Mobility Accelerator Programme, a new important challenge for MUV has just started. The DigiCirc accelerator is dedicated to SMEs that are launching innovative solutions with the aim of making European cities “Circular Cities”.

Digicirc and programme goals

Digicirc is a Horizon 2020 European project that brings together 11 partners from 9 different countries, led by Cap Digital. The main objective of the programme is to promote the circular economy by exploiting digital tools and to support the growth of innovative European companies.

In the previous months we met other innovative startups through the use of a digital matchmaking platform and created the 17 consortia with amazing project ideas that have been selected. On 7 April, a new adventure began for us with the participation in the highly intensive and innovative 12-week innovation support programme.

From April to July 2021, each participating startup will have access, in addition to direct funding, to digital tools, business coaching, one-to-one advice and mentoring provided by industry experts.

Among the seminars we will attend: Digitalization of Circular Economy, Systemic Design, ethics & social responsibility, Internationalization, Team Building & Partnering, Marketing & Communication, Resource Management, Business Model Consolidation, Market & customer analysis, Commercial launch strategy and Business & Financial planning.

The DigiCirc Circular Cities Accelerator programme will be divided into two phases:

phase 1, dedicated to developing the business plan and refining the solution around the needs of the target area;
Phase 2, on the other hand, will be dedicated to demonstrating the solutions and redefining the business strategy.

Finally, the 5 selected consortia will receive an additional €100,000 in funding and will have up to 6 months, from August 2021 to January 2022, to deliver the final results.
